Design
A Mid-Century Masterpiece reimagined Nestled in the heart of Napa Valley, The Glass House, designed by acclaimed architect Robert Gianelli in 1965, stands as a testament to timeless modernism. Often referred to as “The Crown Jewel in Gianelli’s influential career,” this home seamlessly merges mid-century design with contemporary enhancements, offering a rare fusion of history, nature, and luxury. A thoughtfully integrated expansion introduces a striking new dining area, while a meticulous reconfiguration of existing spaces respects the integrity of Gianelli’s original vision. Wrapped in walls of glass, fieldstones, and warm wood, the home is framed by towering Maple and Oak trees, which offer both shade and privacy. Beyond, the breathtaking Mayacamas Mountains provide an ever-changing natural backdrop, visible from nearly every room. Every element of The Glass House is designed to immerse its inhabitants in nature. Sunlight floods through floor-to-ceiling windows, while the seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces enhances the home’s sense of openness and tranquility. Whether sipping wine on the relaxation deck, enjoying friendly competition on the sport court, or unwinding in the peaceful yard, every detail encourages a lifestyle of effortless beauty and serenity.

Have you found your place in the world?
I began my real estate career after spending many years in the culinary arts as a professional caterer. That experience was further enhanced by several of my own corporate relocations, as we crisscrossed the United States. My passion for planning, entertaining and attention to detail thru food and wine led me to finding communities with the best local farmers market, the best specialty food stores, the best top-rated restaurants. Locating the most appropriate contractors was a crucial component to creating a well-designed kitchen and wine cellar. Landscape artists that can create edible gardens became my passion.
I was determined to entertain our guests like a local-either at a small unknown, yet wonderful restaurant, or at our home. As I have learned food and wine are not only essential aspects of life, but also an integral part of the real estate industry. I needed to know everything about the city we were moving to-from landscaping to interior design of kitchens, from wine cellars to backyard kitchens; All the areas that I like to spend time in.
It was a logical next step to turn my passion into a real estate career. I soon realized helping others find their “entertaining home” is what I do best.
Over the course of 24 years, I’ve sold hundreds of high-profile homes across the Bay Area and Napa. My husband and I decided to move to Napa after visiting for 20+ years. We were also partners in Kitchen Collective, Napa Valley’s first Urban Cooking Club. I’ve found the critical ingredient for building the life I’ve always wanted - to live in Wine Country and become an integral part of this special place.

about this
Neighborhood
Old Town Napa features charming cottages, bungalows, Victorians, and Queen Anne homes. Downtown Napa offers phenomenal restaurants, farmers’ markets, boutique shopping, and plenty of wine-tasting rooms. The development of the riverfront, along with a riverbank promenade, signaled the renaissance of Napa's downtown. Where the Napa River makes a bend through the city, you'll find Oxbow Public Market in downtown Napa's Oxbow District. Every Tuesday night, the merchants celebrate Local’s Night, sponsoring live music, wine tastings, and face painting for kids.
Venture a few miles outside of the city and you will be in farm country, surrounded by vineyards and horse stables. On Redwood Road, The Hess Collection includes a gallery of museum-quality modern art featuring works by Robert Motherwell, Anselm Keifer, and Leopoldo Maler.
Built in 1879, the Napa Valley Opera House building was restored in 2003 to its former glory. Throughout the summer, Veterans Memorial Park Amphitheater hosts Napa City Nights, a slate of concerts spanning a variety of genres. And for the past few years, Napa has hosted Bottle Rock, a three-day music festival that books big-name acts.
While there are plenty of restaurants run by celebrity chefs in Napa, locals in search of a relaxed dinner head for Norman Rose Tavern to get classic American comfort food, burgers, and brews.
